Why tell you about our approach to AI?
Artificial intelligence now features in almost every conversation about digital technology.
It promises spectacular gains, large-scale automation, and sometimes even a radical transformation of development professions.
In this context, we felt it important to clarify our position.
At Dexio, we have been designing and developing bespoke business applications for over ten years. Our responsibility is simple: to deliver reliable, sustainable and controlled solutions.
AI is now one of the tools available to achieve this. But it does not change our profession or our fundamental requirements.
This page exists to set out a clear framework:
to explain how we use AI, what we expect from it, what we refuse, and above all why we integrate it methodically rather than with blind enthusiasm.
We do not talk about AI because it is fashionable.
We talk about it because it influences the way software are designed today, and it is our responsibility to explain clearly to our clients how we integrate it into the projects we deliver.
AI as an assistant, never as a shortcut
At Dexio, AI is not a shortcut.
Each developer on the team is, above all, a highly skilled professional capable of designing, developing, testing and maintaining an application without artificial assistance. This expertise is essential: it ensures that we remain accountable for what we deliver.
We see AI as a highly capable assistant, a sparring partner.
It can speed up certain tasks, suggest ideas, help with structuring or checking, but it cannot replace human expertise or judgement.
Our rule is clear: everything generated with the help of AI must be understood, reviewed and validated by our teams before being integrated into a client project.
A lever for quality
Where AI truly makes sense is when it allows us to push even further a level of demand that already existed.
Before AI, our projects were already built on solid foundations: technical rigour, attention to detail, and high-quality code and processes. AI does not replace any of this. It reinforces these standards, allowing us to go further and faster, particularly in terms of testing, documentation, and the overall consistency of our solutions.
Concretely, it helps us to apply quality standards usually associated with large organisations, while preserving and amplifying what sets Dexio apart:
flexibility, proximity to our customers and the adaptability of an expert team on a human scale.
A reasoned integration, project by project
There is no universal recipe.
AI is integrated only when it is relevant, whether in our internal processes (development, testing, documentation) or in the solutions delivered to our clients.
It always fits within an existing workflow, never as an isolated or decorative element. Each use is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, according to the concrete objectives of the project, but also its impact in terms of resources.
We ensure a measured use, both ecological and financial. AI consumes compute, time and budget. It must therefore deliver value proportionate to the resources committed.
It is a measured choice, aligned with the project's challenges and the responsibility we assume.
Sometimes integration is simple and targeted, such as the automatic translation of a website. In other cases, integration is much more structural and forms an integral part of the solution developed.

Data, responsibility and human control
On matters of data and ethics, our position is unambiguous.
Data remain with the client. No client data is passed to an AI without explicit prior consent. Human intervention remains central, and we take into account the limitations and biases inherent in these technologies.
Data sovereignty and transparency are an integral part of our responsibility as developers.
A role of advice and education
AI generates many expectations. Sometimes unrealistic.
In our discussions with clients, our role is not limited to integrating technologies.
It also involves clearly explaining what is possible, what is not, and what should not be.
We support our clients to:
-
distinguish fads from real value,
-
understand the limitations and biases of models,
-
assess the implications for data and responsibility,
-
define a usage framework consistent with their objectives and constraints.
Integrating AI into a business system is never a simple technical choice.
It is a strategic, organisational and sometimes ethical choice.
In conclusion
At Dexio, we see artificial intelligence as a driver of high standards and responsibility, and as a real asset to our business.
When well integrated, it allows us to go further, improve our standards and strengthen the quality of what we deliver.
Our approach is based on clear principles:
-
AI enhances quality, without replacing human expertise.
-
Each use meets a real need.
-
Data remain protected and controlled.
-
Automation is considered and proportionate.
-
We provide support with method and responsibility.
This guiding line is what informs our choices today, and will continue to shape how we integrate AI into the projects we undertake tomorrow.
