Geneva Knee Centre - Database Tool

The Knee Centre Geneva commissioned us via the La Tour Hospital to create a solution that allows for the evaluation of patients using a pre- and post-operative questionnaire over the long term. The questionnaire is created by experts in the field and provides a 'score' for the patient who has just completed it. This score is generated using complex calculations based on the information provided by the patient.

Geneva Knee Centre - La Tour Hospital - Basic Database Tool

Furthermore, this tool provides the centre with a medical database with a dual purpose: - To improve the care of its patients in order to enhance their well-being - To collect qualitative data to support the centre's medical research Hôpital La Tour has commissioned us for this project, and we have taken responsibility for the development of the solution.

The doctor who logs into the platform can view the list of their patients as well as personal and medical information related to each one.
These records can be made by the secretarial staff or directly by the patient concerned themselves; in this case, the secretariat can lock the application to limit navigation solely to the information form.

Upon registration, the patient provides their personal information, but must also answer a question regarding their sporting activities. The response to this question will establish a "score" for the patient, known as the Tegner score, which allows the medical team to provide better care for their patients.

Medical Process and Follow-up

The process of creating a new case for a patient begins with a series of specific questions developed by field experts. This information will enable more effective management and already assist in formulating a potential treatment.

In the case detail page, the medical team can provide their diagnosis and propose a new treatment from the list of available treatments.

Next come pre-operative and post-operative questionnaires, which will facilitate effective long-term support for the patient, particularly through specific medical scales and calculations of scores.

All of this data has invaluable scientific value for research and will help to underpin the studies conducted within the hospital.

From a Design Perspective

We have adapted the solution views for tablet use. Indeed, the centre's administration will lend their tablets to patients so that they can fill in the information related to their visit. This format is therefore the most suitable for them.

From a Technical Perspective

This project is developed using the Laravel and VueJs stack. This is the stack we use most frequently in our web projects as it greatly simplifies route management and communication with the database.

To go further

After developing this solution for the Knee Centre Geneva, MobileThinking also designed their website. This site aims to reflect the excellence of the Knee Centre Geneva and facilitate access to its services, featuring a clear user interface and functionalities that simplify navigation and appointment booking.
